Well through the magic of Social Media 2.0 you have an opportunity to re-live (and rewrite) your high school years all over again…on Twitter!
Yes, all the high minded uses for social media as a lead generation tool, client satisfaction monitor and business 2.0 opportunity are all well and good but let’s face it, Twitter and high school are not that different. You can go to school to learn or you can be popular – and most people, given the chance, will choose popularity over book learnin’ any day of the week! Twitter is no different.
Remember the jocks in high school? They’re now on Twitter selling high protein workout shakes. And they’re still trying to shake you down for your lunch money. Only now it’s called ‘Affiliate Marketing’.
The geeks? Now they own Twitter.
So if you want to be popular on Twitter, here’s some things you need to remember from your high school days…
There are groups for just about anything you can think of. Try and pick the cool ones.
The ‘preps’ are still more popular than you and still pretend to know your name. And they’ll still send you a form letter when they want you to vote for them for class president.
There’s still that grungy area at the side of the school where ‘the smokers’ hang out. Enter at your own risk…
And finally, practice what you’ve learned – now that you’ve long graduated from high school (some longer than others!). Lighten up! There’s no need to take things so seriously.
(And for God’s sake – remember, it’s a heck of a lot easier to get lucky than you think!).

Yes you are right Don, we need to build a strong network in social media. Then only we can reach our products to larger audience. Be active in social media, is the only key way to success.
Okay, so what’s “get lucky” ….didn’t happen in high school and it isn’t happening now!
