I am so glad you took the time to come by and provide such encouraging words. (I’m also sorry it took me so long to reply – such is the life of a newbie blogger!).
I replied to your comment in youtube but I”m so new I don’t know if I did it right ot not. I’ll try and get back to you in as many ways as possible to ket you know that I’ve read all your comments and I can’t thank you enough. As a newbie, I need all the support, encouragement and commiseratin I can get – hahah!
I do like doing video though and it’s something I’m definitely going to do more of – starting in the New Year.
And with support like yours, I’m sure the world is my oyster!

Hey Don,
What do you think of this idea for a post? Can you show off your studio and the equipment you use to create your videos. I’d love to go behind the camera and see your stash (no I’m not getting fresh). It seems like everyone is doing video now but some of us need to upgrade.

So nice to see you here (and all over the web!).
Thanks for your sugestion about a ‘behind the curtain” post on creating web video. I like it!
I’m a no hype kind of guy so it might be funny to talk about my dollar store mic wrapped in a sponge held together with a rubber band – hahah!
(And I’m actually using a digital camera – not a webcam – to do the video).
And my backdrop is an old white sheet that I have pinned to the ceiling with push pins (UPDATE: My father in law brought over an old projector screen so I’m moving up in the world – hahah! I’m going to try that backdrop for my next video).
So, great idea – maybe I’ll make two posts – one on setting up the “studio” – such as it is and one about how to do those transitions and cuts in Camtasia. I’m trying to do more with video than the standard talking head approach and so far, the feeback – including yours – has been quite positive and encouraging!

Howdy, i read your blog occasionally and i personal a comparable one and i was just wondering should you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you avoid it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much recently it is driving me mad so any assistance is really much appreciated.
